Background
Time Auction is a charity that advocates volunteerism. They encourage volunteering with inspiring experiences, while connecting skilled-volunteers with NGOs. By volunteering at any nonprofits, one can earn unique access to their passions — from learning to cook from Michelin-starred chefs to dining with inspiring entrepreneurs. With their volunteer community, they also match professionals who want to volunteer their talent with nonprofits that need those skills. Over 100,000 volunteer hours have been contributed to date since 2014.
Ivan Chong, Founder of Co-op Digital Consulting, had a free 1-hour digital consulting call with Annissa Suen, Senior Program Manager of Time Auction, on 17 July 2024. The call was arranged via Time Auction, which Ivan voluntarily serves as a Digital Consultant offering advice to NGOs on no-code tools integration and digital strategy.
Needs from Client
The primary goal of this consultation session is to gain insights and recommendations on no-code tools that could help improve productivity for non-profit organizations (NGOs) within the Time Auction community. The key questions revolve around identifying user-friendly no-code tools with a shallow learning curve, must-have tools for NGOs, and the best approaches to effectively share this knowledge with the broader NGO community.
The main challenges appear to be a lack of in-depth expertise on the full landscape of no-code tools, despite already utilizing a few options like Zapier, Notion, and Airtable. The session aims to build a more comprehensive understanding of the available tools and the optimal way to deliver this information to the NGO peers.
Success will be measured by obtaining concrete recommendations on no-code tools tailored to the needs and technical abilities of NGOs, as well as developing an effective strategy to disseminate this knowledge to the community through the #PeerLearning Sessions.

- Shared a list of no-code tools that might help NGOs to reduce their monthly operation cost and enhance their colleagues' productivity. The tools recommended have powerful free tiers that can enable smaller size NGOs (team size less than 50) to be fully functional for their day-to-day operations.
