Background
WEDO GLOBAL is a social enterprise that advocates multicultural education In Hong Kong. They plan and arrange multicultural workshops, local walking tours and overseas experiential tours to provide opportunities for participants to interact with people of different cultural backgrounds. In addition, they provide training and working opportunities for under-presented ethnic minority youth and women to bridge the cultural gap.
Ivan Chong, Founder of Co-op Digital Consulting, had a free digital consulting call with Bosco Ng and Maryam Rani from WEDO GLOBAL, which was scheduled on 30 March 2024. The call was scheduled on Time Auction, which Ivan serves as a Digital Consultant offering advice on no-code tools integration.
Needs from Client
The primary goal of the consultation session is to receive advice on streamlining the DSE Study Group project aimed at supporting Form 5 and Form 6 ethnic minority students. Key questions include seeking suggestions for designing a more effective platform tailored to these students' needs.
Current challenges involve limited capacity and expertise due to the project's recent launch. So far, manual processes have been used to track applications, attendance, and student progress, but there is a need for improved efficiency through a dedicated platform. Success will be measured by establishing clear next steps and developing the platform.
Solutions and Services Offered
- Recommended Google Workspace for Nonprofit and the use of Google Forms and Google Classrooms to create a seamless experience for the project management of the DSE Study Group project which supports ethnic minority form 5 and form 6 students.
- Introduced Lark, another great tool for project management, internal staff management, work allocation and creation of knowledge base for future staff training and onboarding.
- Provided advisory on AI tools and recommended Coze, which can be used to build AI chatbots and can be trained by uploading information to the database to provide accurate answers to potential bot users
