Our Founder Ivan Chong helped founding members of Music Lab to troubleshoot the website problem through accessing Squarespace, Bluehost and the domain registrar 香港網庫. He regained access and documented some of the login credentials of these platforms for Music Lab.

It was found that there was DNS connection problem at Squarespace.

Ivan helped to configure the correct DNS to reconnect the domain to Squarespace.

This helped to recover the website.

In addition, Ivan found that the paid hosting subscription (with free email service) on Bluehost had been expired, resulting in email delivery problem.

As Ivan knew that Music Lab is a registered charitable institution in Hong Kong, he suggested the core members of Music Lab to apply for Google Workspace for Nonprofits, so as to save the monthly cost on email service to zero. After gaining the consent, he helped the team to apply for Google Workspace for Nonprofits, and completed the configuration of individual email addresses for the three core members.

Ivan also provided video tutorial to coach core members of Music Lab to set up email forwarding to their own gmail addresses.

Furthermore, he helped with switching the nameservers from Bluehost to Cloudflare for future easier management of DNS.

The website is now recovered, and the email delivery problem has been solved.

With the successful application of Google Workspace for Nonprofits, core members of Music Lab can enjoy the email service for free.
