Background
KEPLER Instruments offers high-end chromatic harmonica for advanced harmonica players.
In order to better promote the new product items and let potential customers better understand the features and pricing of each product, the Founder of KEPLER thus decided to revamp the website to add E-commerce features.
Prior to the website revamp, the ordering of harmonica was processed through an online form on the website, and the payment settlement was all handled by the Founder manually.
The Founder of KEPLER Instruments wanted to enable the E-Commerce function of its website. He would also like to configure the online payment gateway using PayPal so that future payments from clients could be collected more easily. He reached out to our Founder Ivan hoping to introduce these new features.
Features required include:
Shopping cart which is natively supported by the website creation tool Squarespace
Display of product photo
Display of product information
Display the audio recording of every product
Display the price of every product
Categorize the products
Communicated with client regarding redesign of website architecture
Research of different shopping cart solutions had been proposed, from free services to paid services.
After on-site meeting with Founder of KEPLER Instruments, the final decision was to use an upgraded subscription of Squarespace, from Squarespace Personal to Sqaurespace Commerce (Basic)
Configured every product page, adding the relevant details supplied by the Founder (Product name, Price, Features, Photo, Soundtrack)
Proposed to use SoundCloud instead of audio file display tool of Squarespace for better user experience
Created SoundCloud account for KEPLER and uploaded all soundtracks
Helped client resolve the payment integration issue with PayPal
Created a sample product to test the payment flow before launch
Set up tags and categories to enhance the user experience in terms of product display
Created LinkedIn page for KEPLER Instruments to better promote its products to potential clients
